Forum rules Others are free to disagree with your opinion. (You are not entitled to express your opinion in a vacuum.) BUT that opposing opinion must follow the same requirements above that the original opinion had to follow, as well as not bringing in the assumed political views of the original poster. (I leave out "stated" as they should not state any political position here on STPMA.) ALSO, do not toss about derogatory labels at someone who offers an opinion in opposition to yours. No name calling, political labels (SJW, etc.,) questioning their humanity, morality, ethics, true fan status, or your assumption they are in the business to protect a certain fandom (gatekeeping, etc.). Again, discuss the show or movie not the politics or motives of another poster. If you dislike something, it's perfectly fine to say so. However, posting your dislike every time someone else says anything positive about a show or movie, essentially stating the same thing over and over again is not acceptable. If you have something new to add, or are replying to a specific point in someone else's comment, okay. But if it's just to state once again, "IT SUCKS!" Don't.
You are free to offer your opinions on a show, episode, book, film, film series, cinematic universe, etc., as long as it applies to that item, and not to the stated or assumed political views of the producers, writers, actors, key grip, best boy, intern, etc., of said item. In short, you want to talk about a show or movie, talk about the show or movie.

I am about to sit down and watch new episodes of Star Wars (Andor) and Star Trek (Prodigy)
I am in hog, g-d d-mned heaven. Imagine going back to 1983 or 84 and showing your younger self how much content we have.
There's ways in which I really love the future.
Hot and cold running Star Trek for goodness' sakes

Back then we had to wait two years between our installments of Trek. The idea we'd have two, three, or four series running at the same time wasn't even imaginable back then.
I think you're going to like Andor, Jay.

Something like that.
The worst of it was removed. Bits of it remain in the Picard and Discovery threads if you're curious.

I have been watching Andor as it goes. I just watched the last two episodes. I think the next one is the finale. Andor is a hell of a story.
I think I like The Mandalorian a little better, but Andor is a much more grounded and low-key story
I like the world building.
I even liked The Book of Boba Fett, although I believe I am in the Minority there.
I also quite like Discovery and Picard - although with Picard I know I am in the minority.
Lower Decks continues to be a love letter to Star Trek. Star Trek as made by and the ship is crewed by fans.

I am not really interested in bad vibes about ST and SW.
Plenty of that stuff to go around elsewhere.

I can't even bring myself to watch Discovery anymore. (I've seen only the first two seasons.) I'll eventually get to it, because it's Star Trek ... but I so despise the Michael Burnham character it's soured me on the entire series. I'll go back when my jaundiced eye allows me some objectivity.
I won't say more. I don't disrespect others who are enjoying it. I can't rationally conclude it's objectively bad, and there are elements of it I enjoy(ed).
Picard ... I ... just don't know, even after having seen it all. I don't ... intensely dislike it, and love the visit with old friends from The Next Generation.
You've made clear negativity isn't welcome, so I'll stop, now.
Prodigy I haven't seen enough of.
Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds pass muster for me, delightfully so.
Glad you have enough Trek for satiation purposes.
Crassus: Are you not aware of Rome's most ancient law—that no general may enter the city at the head of his armed legions? Glabrus : Sulla did. Crassus : Sulla?! To the infamy of his name! To the utter damnation of his line!

Okay! Onward!
Still waiting to see if The Orville gets renewed.

I liked it too. The last few episodes I thought redeemed the show, and especially the appearance of...
Spoiler:
You might also check out Tales of the Jedi. It's quite good.
